(TTH Portals) - On November 28, 2024, a conference on meeting with foreign non-governmental organizations in Thua Thien Hue province 2024 was held by the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province. The Deputy Head of Foreign Affairs Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trinh Thi Mai Phuong, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Phan Quy Phuong attended the meeting.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Phan Quy Phuong acknowledged the contribution of foreign non-governmental organizations in approach, experience, method and resources. They have contributed to supporting Thua Thien Hue in ensuring social security, poverty alleviation and adopting socio-economic development strategies.
The role of foreign non-governmental organizations is improved in international community as they made contribution to the sustainable development, poverty alleviation, policy making, human right, equal economic and commercial relation among countries around the world.
In addition, foreign non-governmental organizations contributed to accelerating people-to-people diplomacy, strengthening the solidarity, providing information between Vietnam and countries around the world, improving the image of Vietnam and the world, introducing a friendly, open and transparent investment environment.
At the conference
Through this conference, delegates are expected to share lessons learned; propose solutions to enhance the working performance, management and the use of funding; discuss to find solutions; solve obstacles found during implementing programs and projects in Thua Thien Hue province; attract funding from non-governmental organizations in the coming time, Vice Chairman Phan Quy Phuong emphasized.
