(Hue city Portal) – On January 1, 2025,  Hue Monument Conservation Center announced National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025. This event aims to kick off National Tourism Year 2025 and celebrate the establishment of Hue, the centrally governed city.

National Tourism Year 2025 will be organized in four seasons throughout the year. There are 4 main groups of programs with 150 national and province-level events. Of all, 70 festivities are considered as key events. The Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism and Central agencies will hold 8 programs/events, while Hue city is in charge of organizing 63 programs/events.

The closing ceremony of National Tourism Year 2025, international music festival; new year countdown program 2026

National Tourism Year is an important cultural, socio-economic and tourism event which is combined with Hue Festival 2025. It also celebrates the 50th anniversary of Hue liberation day and the new position of Hue, the centrally governed city. National Tourism Year will contribute to developing tourism as well as promoting local socio-economic development. It is an opportunity for Hue to widely introduce Hue cultural heritages, particularly world heritages.

At the ceremony, Hue Monument Conservation Center reenacted the Royal Court Ceremony which was used to be held by Nguyen dynasty on the first day of the lunar new year. The “thiet dai trieu” is organized in Thai Hoa palace while “thiet thuong trieu” ceremony takes place in Can Chanh palace.
